Good afternoon everyone and welcome back to KRBS Priestfield for this afternoon's game with Swansea City. I would also like to welcome everyone connected with the Swans and hope that they have a great day with us.

Looking back at our last games, against Carlisle, Luton and Millwall, we have now given ourselves a real chance for survival. The only thing keeping us in the relegation zone is our goal difference so, if we can get three points today, it will be a huge boost for us. Indeed, the team that we play today, many would agree that they are the best in the division. But, if we look at how Bournemouth did last weekend, then there is no reason why we should settle for anything less than a win.

We showed that we have what it takes to match teams right at the top when Carlisle were visitors to KRBS Priestfield only two weeks ago. They probably thought that, with our position in the table, we would roll over and they could continue their push for promotion. But we fought hard and put in a tenacious performance to get us a well earned draw. We could have even taken all three points had Simeon Jackson's fantastic strike crept underneath the bar instead of crashing against it, but nevertheless it was a great performance.

We then took that momentum into our games with Luton Town and Millwall and came away with four excellent points. The most discernable factor about those games was our fantastic support. At home to the Hatters, the crowd support was sensational and it showed how much it affects the players as they pushed for the winning goals. Then, after the whistle had blown, to see the reaction of you all and how you applauded your team off was a terrific sight.

We then travelled to Millwall and filled out three quarters of the upper tier with over 1300 fans and they never stopped singing throughout the 90 minutes. Even when Millwall equalised, our fans continued to out sing the home support who couldn't believe what they were seeing.

It would have been a real step forward had we won the game, but we can take many positives from it. The first being, that we got a point to draw level with Crewe Alexandra. It now only needs a final push from our boys to get us over the line and into safety. I am fully convinced that we have what it takes to get enough from our final games, but we need the fantastic support that you have shown over the past few weeks to get us through it.

As part of my efforts to create more time to work on the new stadium and other strategic matters, like external investment and team development, I have now appointed a new chief executive who started with us this week. Mark Jones has great experience from a number of fields, including football and horse racing. He will be responsible for driving the business forward and increasing our income streams where possible. I will continue to handle all player purchases and team matters but I will be travelling extensively in my efforts to finance the new arena and to seek investment in the playing side of the business. I would like to take this opportunity to welcome Mark to the business and I have every confidence that his time at the club will be successful and beneficial. We will do a full profile of Mark in the last programme of the season.

Our Player of the Year dinner is fast approaching and we will be using today's match to distribute voting forms for your 07/08 Player of the Year. It is very important that you fill one of these out as the Player of the Year award is decided by you the fans. You must also look out for our Goal of the Season video that will be circulating around the screens prior to kick-off and at half time. You will see a selection of ten goals and you can cast your vote by emailing your favourite to media@priestfield.com.

Finally, I must confirm that our last home match of the season, against Swindon Town, has been brought forward to a 12.30pm kick-off on advice of the police.

Enjoy the game,

Paul D.P. Scally
