Simeon Jackson is a Canadian Under-20 international striker who joined the Gills for a fee of £150,000 from Rushden & Diamonds in the January 2008 transfer window. He made his debut for the club in the 0-0 home draw with Cheltenham Town and found the net 4 times in 18 league appearances last season.
Jackson gave Gills supporters an idea of what he can offer with a brace in the 2-1 home win over Luton Town and ended the season with an impressive strike against Leeds United which silenced a capacity crowd at Elland Road. His lightning pace is sure to cause trouble for League Two defences this season.
Prior to joining Gillingham Simeon fired 16 goals in 28 starts for Rushden in 2007/08. It was this sensational form which attracted the attention of Mark Stimson and earned Jackson a three-and-a-half-year deal at Priestfield.
