STIMSON RELEASES TRIALISTS
As the squad get set for the visits of Ipswich Town and Birmingham City, Gillingham Manager Mark Stimson has decided to release three trialists.
Central Defender Leo Roget and midfielders Alex Bailey and Nigel Atangana have all moved on after failing to secure contracts.
Formerly of Southend and Stockport, Roget appeared as a second half substitute in all three of the Gills opening fixtures.
Young Frenchman Nigel Atangana joined from FC Caen last Thursday and featured in the friendlies at Faversham and Grays.
Whilst Bailey made his only appearance for the club as a late substitute against Stevenage Borough.
One player who remains on trial at the club is right sided midfielder Alistair John. John showed significant promise in the clubs opening two fixtures but was injured in the closing stages of the 8-0 victory over Faversham.
He subsequently missed the trip to Grays and Stimson is keen to test him again once he regains full fitness.
