MAHER SET FOR GILLS RETURN?
Gillingham Manager Mark Stimson has confirmed his interest in bringing experienced midfielder Kevin Maher back to the club on a permanent basis.
Maher joined the Gills in March on loan from Southend United and made 7 league appearances, returning to Roots Hall at the end of the season.

Kevin has since been released by the Shrimpers ending a 10-year spell with the club during which he clocked up almost 450 appearances.
Stimson knows he faces stiff competition for Maher, "There are a number of clubs interested in signing Kevin but he knows the team and the set up here and that will be an advantage. We'll be holding talks with him next week and he's a player I'd very much like to bring to the club."
