Gillingham youth team defender Rimmel Daniel has been called up by Grenada for their 2009 CONCACAF Under-20 Championship Caribbean Zone qualifiers.

The 17 year old full-back will play for the Spice Boyz in Group D as they host the British Virgin Islands, Guyana and St Vincent & the Grenadines for matches between May 14th and May 18th.

Cuba stage Group A between 27th and 31st May and will take on the Bahamas, the Dominican Republic and Haiti.

The Cayman Islands are hosts for Group B between 23rd and 27th July and will take on Bermuda, Jamaica and Puerto Rico.

Group C is to be held in Aruba between 16th and 20th July and also contains Dominica, St Kitts & Nevis and Surinam.

The Netherlands Antilles host Group E between 1st and 5th July and Angulla, Antigua & Barbuda and Saint-Martin will visit the Dutch colony.

The winners of each group plus the four runners-up with the best record will advance to the Second Round in September which is made of three groups of three.

The three group winners and the runner-up with the best record will progress to the Caribbean Final Round qualifier in December.

The Central American Group A contains the hosts Honduras, Costa Rica and Nicaragua and matches will take place between 17th and 21st September whilst Group B in Guatemala contains the home side, Belize, El Salvador and Panama.

The 2009 CONCACAF Under-20 Championship is to be held in Trinidad & Tobago in January and February.

Four teams from the CONCACAF Under-20 Championship will qualify for the 2009 FIFA Under-20 World Cup in Egypt next summer.
