Promising young strikers Luis Cumbers and Andy Pugh have put pen to paper on new one-year contracts with Gillingham Football Club.

Cumbers joined Gillingham as a youth trainee in July 2006 making his first team debut against Yeovil in May 2007.  This season he made 6 first team appearances for the Gills and also enjoyed succesful loan spells with Maidstone United, Grays Athletic and AFC Wimbledon where he helped the Dons to promotion to Blue Square South.

Andy Pugh signed scholarship forms with Gillingham in 2005 and made his League debut in February 2007 in the home tie against Brighton & Hove Albion.  This season Pugh made three League and Cup appearances for the Gills and spent time on loan with Welling and Maidstone United.
